Ppl need to realize that gamers don't necessarily game 24/7. Most have jobs, school, and other obligations as well. So when we get that free time to play on the Ps3, Xbox, or whatever it really is an enjoyable period of relaxing that is usually a fleeting one. I meant that the dev. of Crysis 2 said that the PS3 ver. would be the better one and that turned out to be not entirely accurate.
So my point was that the reason ppl are surprised about Portal 2 (ps3 ver) being better than the 360 one is because usually devs. tend to fall short of the mark.

I pretty good at both as well... grew up playing SF2, MK2, then later goldeneye and perfect dark. If I had to pick I would say I better at fighting games then FPS but I more then decent at both.

its funny you mentioned Toy Story graphics. I don't mean to dig on the PS3 at all, but I remember while I was working at Game Crazy some years ago and listen to ppl and discussion magazine articles about the PS3 power. It was siad that Toy Story graphics would be the norm for any PS3 game. Everyone was clearly excited for the PS3 launch.
But alas the rest is history. I fill that Cage is making a similar claim with this tech.

I actually enjoyed to the 1st one as well and when I heard that part 2 was going to be less RPG-ish I started to have doubts. But I was blown away about everything ME2 did, despite the lessening of RPG elements it is hands down a way better game.

thats called monopolizing. Thats cool if thats what your into but I prefer developers making games for the consoles they want... ie Hideo Kojima-san and Rockstar.
